
US Scholarships
For over 75 years, AEF has invested in the next generation of Armenian-American leaders. Each year, we award scholarships to Armenian students across the United States — from high school seniors to graduate students — supporting academic excellence, community engagement, and the enduring strength of Armenian identity.
Richard R. Tufenkian Scholarship
Three $3,000 scholarships will be awarded to Armenian undergraduate students at an accredited United States college or university.
To qualify, students must:

Be of Armenian descent

Have a minimum 3.0 GPA
-
Demonstrate financial need
-
Be actively involved in the Armenian community
The Richard R. Tufenkian Scholarship Fund was established by the Tufenkian family in memory of their son Richard. The $230,000 endowed fund has provided over $510,000 in scholarships since 1991.
Applications will be available from April 1, 2026 to May 15, 2026 for Academic Year 2026–2027.


Makarian-Arakelians Scholarship
Two $3,000 scholarships will be awarded to Armenian graduate students majoring in Music or Performing Arts at an accredited United States college, university, music school, or conservatory.
To qualify, students must:

Be of Armenian descent

Have a minimum 3.0 GPA

Demonstrate financial need

Be actively involved in the Armenian community
Scholarship recipients may reapply in subsequent years.
Applications will be available from April 1, 2026 to May 15, 2026 for Academic Year 2026–2027.
AEF Sponsored Scholarship
Seven $3,000 scholarships will be awarded to Armenian undergraduate and graduate students at an accredited United States college or university.
To qualify, students must:

Glendale Community College Scholarships
Eight $1,000 awards are given to students of Armenian origin attending Glendale City College who are transferring to a four-year university.
To qualify, students must:

Be of Armenian origin (parent or grandparent)

Be currently attending Glendale City College and transferring to a four-year university
-
Demonstrate high academic achievement
-
Provide proof of community service
Selection and recommendations are made by GCC.
Armenian High School Scholarships
Four $1,000 awards are given to high school seniors attending Armenian high schools in the Los Angeles area who are pursuing undergraduate education at a college or university.
To qualify, students must:

Be a senior at an eligible Armenian high school in the Los Angeles area

Be pursuing undergraduate education at a college or university
Eligibility criteria and final selection are determined at the discretion of each school's administration. The following schools are eligible to receive awards:

Armenian Mesrobian High School — Jack Arakelian Scholarship

Armenian Ferrahian High School — Khachik Shatikian Memorial Scholarship

Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian High School — Alex Pilibos Memorial Scholarship

AGBU Manoogian-Demirjian High School — Joseph Perumean Memorial Scholarship


CASPS — The Committee for Armenian Students in Public Schools
Four $1,000 awards are given to high school seniors attending school in the Glendale and surrounding area who are pursuing undergraduate education at a college or university.
To qualify, students must:

Be a high school senior in the Glendale or surrounding area

Be pursuing undergraduate education at a college or university

Demonstrate high academic achievement (awards are given to students with the highest GPA from each high school)
Awards are presented at the Annual CASPS Awards ceremony, attended by parents, teachers, school counselors, administrators, GUSD leadership, and community members.
