Destrehan High School AFJROTC Unit LA-932 Places First In AEF’s Annual “Jimmy Stewart Aerospace Education
Award” Video Contest
Destrehan High School cadets from Destrehan, LA placed first in the 2004-2005 Aerospace Education Foundation’s
(AEF) annual AFJROTC Video Contest. In September, the Foundation will honor representatives from LA-932 at the Air
Force Association’s Air & Space Conference in Washington, DC. The unit also receives $1,000 and an engraved plaque.

Second Place this year went to Franklin County High School Unit VA-20011, Rocky Mount, VA. These cadets
receive a plaque along with $750. This year’s third place went to Altus High School Unit OK-941, Altus, OK.
These cadets will receive $500 and an engraved plaque.
The following units received honorable mentions:
- UT-081 Clearfield High School
- Clearfield, UT
- FL-936 Flagler High School
- Bunnell, FL.
The judges found the competition between the schools to be excellent and were most impressed with
the overall quality and creativity of the videos. The contest theme for 2005-2006 will be announced
early in the fall.
