The Educator Grant program is designed to promote aerospace
education activities in classrooms from kindergarten through
twelfth grades. The program encourages development of
innovative aerospace activities within the prescribed
curriculum. The program also encourages establishing an active
relationship between the school and the local Air Force
Association organization.

Educator Grant Application
Grant applications will be accepted between 1 August and 15
November with the Grant awarded by 15 January.
Requirements
Application forms must be COMPLETE.
Application packages must follow all guidelines.
Applicants may be awarded one grant once every twelve
months.
Each individual school is limited to two grants once
every twelve months.
(Beginning School Year '01) Successful prior awardees
must have submitted the "Feedback" form in order to be
considered for any future grants.
Evaluation Criteria
(60%) A one-page description of the planned classroom
activity that includes:
-grade level, number of classrooms/students to
be involved.
-focus subject area(s).
-outline of the activity plan that includes the
desired learning outcome, implementation, and
planned follow-up.
(30%) A one paragraph justification of need for this
funding.
(10%) Is this an original or repeat implementation of
this activity? If a repeat, justification is required.
(Preference will be given to original).
Guidelines
Educators will receive the grant in one lump sum
Funds may be divided among several aerospace
activities. No additional paper work is required to do
so, but please keep track of the funds.
Funds may be used for any aerospace education related
activity from purchasing textbooks or videotapes, to
going on a field trip to an aerospace museum, Air Force
base or other aerospace facility.
