Along with grants and scholarships,
the Aerospace Education Foundation believes that recognizing
those who educate America's youth is an important aspect of
what AEF is all about. AEF and AFA chapters nationwide
work very hard to insure our youth receive education in math
and the sciences and that those who teach and support the
educators are recognized.

Spaatz Award
The Spaatz Award, named after General Carl A. "Tooey"
Spaatz, presents a $1,000 stipend annually to the ACSC
graduate who writes the best paper on advocacy of Air
Force aerospace power. This thought was of particular
interest to the Air Force Association since General Spaatz
was not only a legendary World War II leader who served as
AFA Chairman of the Board in 1950-1951, but he also was a
staunch advocate of telling the airpower story to the
public. He did this not only while in uniform, but also as
a respected columnist-commentator on military affairs
after his retirement. Click here to view the Winner and
