The Aerospace Education Foundation (AEF) and the Air Force Association
(AFA) will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Powered Flight throughout
2003, sponsoring various programs online, on
national radio, television, in print and at the 2003 AFA National
Air & Space Conference and Aerospace Technology Exposition. Bookmark this page for

Up from Kitty Hawk—A Chronology of Aerospace Power,
compiled by Air Force Magazine, offers a comprehensive account of
historic air and space events starting on March 23, 1903, with the
filing of the Wright brothers’ airplane patent, based on
their 1902 glider.
Through public service announcements, radio stations nationwide will
broadcast Up from Kitty Hawk—This week
in Aviation History. The spots include 52 weeks of high
quality radio stories chronicling 100 years of imagination, exploration,
technology and courage. Help us tell the American public about the
milestones and heroes of aviation history and contact your local station
about airing the series. The weekly public service announcements will come to
stations in two separate volumes and in multiple time formats. The first 26

Volume One - 26 weekly PSAs (January -

Radio stations should contact their local
Air Force Association Chapter (more than 250 chapters nationwide) and
aviation-oriented businesses for potential sponsorship.
The 2003 AEF 15-Month Calendar highlights, with photographs and
text, historic aviation milestones. Limited copies of this one of

On September 13-15, 2004, we will celebrate the first ever Air & Space
Conference and Technology Exposition at the Marriott Wardman
Park Hotel, Washington, DC. It will be an historic gathering of leaders from
government, the Department of Defense and aerospace industry. Activities will
include keynote and award ceremonies, symposia, Anniversary Dinner, Salute to
the Twelve Outstanding Airmen, Aerospace Technology Exposition and more.
The Aerospace Education Foundation, established in 1956, is an affiliate of
the Air Force Association and is dedicated to ensuring America's aerospace
excellence through public awareness programs, education and financial
